Anne Kveim Lie is Professor of medical history at the University of Oslo, specialising in Scandinavian healthcare history and the social and political dimensions of medicine. Her research spans infectious disease, pharmaceuticals, antibiotic resistance, and climate change, linking historical analysis with global challenges through interdisciplinary work. She is also active in medical education, integrating medical humanities and social medicine, and has received several awards for teaching excellence.
